Cynic Frontman Announces Solo Acoustic Album + New Music From Cynic

Looks like Cynic are finally getting the ball rolling again: after the never-ending legal dispute between Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert over rights to the band’s name, Cynic released their first song since 2014 back in January. Now that Masvidal has full ownership of the name, he’s announced via Instagram that more new Cynic tunes are in the works, as well as his own solo acoustic record!

He also shares details on a more crafty project he’s been working on: an “Orgonite Pyramid” made out of metals and gemstones and shit which allegedly fends off those pesky electromagnetic frequencies that keep trying to steal your boo.  Fancy paperweight or sacred relic?

Salut fellow beings! I’m holding an Orgonite Pyramid I made recently. It consists of gemstones, metals, and sacred geometry, encased in resin. “Orgone” can help protect us from WiFi and electro-magnetic frequencies in our energy field, along with many other benefits I’ve discovered. More info on this work later ✨In other news, I’m currently sleepless, and blissfully immersed in recording an acoustic record! It’s a barebones, raw, intimate, collection of songs, direct from the heart, and will be released sometime this fall, along with a few other surprises. Cynic is in progress as well. How is your Sunday? 👁👽🖤🖖🏽🌹🧘🏽‍♂️ #orgone
