Rob Scallon Releases Sporty Video for “Chronosil”

0

Rob Scallon may be best known for his goofy YouTube cover videos and outside-the-box instrument experimentation, but last year he released an album of original tunes called The Scene is Dead. A year or so later he’s taken a break from covering Gojira on the banjo and getting trapped inside prison cells to film a music video for “Chronosil” from that album.

Scallon tells us the video is meant to showcase his new seven-string signature Chapman axe. “The 7 has died black sides and has a Floyd,” he explains by email. “It’s a metal machine, while the eight and six models were made to be a versatility machines, so to say.” What’s more, these will be available in Guitar Center next summer (the six-string is already in stock, with the eight-string available for order online), which has gotta be a crazy surreal feeling.

Watch the clip below, which features a sportily dressed Scallon in what appears to be a racquetball or squash court (never learned the difference, sorry!).
