Stream the Metal Reimagining of Pink Floyd’s The Wall in FullWe’ve been monitoring the progress of The Wall [Redux], a metal reimagining of Pink Floyd’s classic 1979 album, since news of the compilation first seeped out over a year and a half ago. Today, finally, the compilation — which features covers by The Melvins, Pallbearer, ASG, Ruby the Hatchet and many, many more — sees the light of day via Magnetic Eye Records!

If you’re reading this post there’s a high likelihood you know The Wall inside and out so I’m not going to dissect each track or talk about what The Wall has meant to me over the years (in short: a whole lot). Instead, I’ll let you know that Pallbearer’s take on “Run Like Hell” and Mars Red Sky’s dirge-like approach to “Comfortably Numb” are two of my favorite cuts here, precisely because they take great artistic liberties to differentiate themselves from the originals. But you should really listen to the whole thing — it’s The fucking Wall, man! Purchase here.
