To the best of our knowledge, no one got caught fucking in the front row at the Machine Head show in Santa Cruz, CA this past Saturday, November 24. But the gig was still plenty eventful: it was the band’s last-ever performance with longtime members Phil Demmel (guitars) and Dave McClain (drums), both of whom announced their impending departures last month.

For their final song for their final with Demmel and McClain, the band opted to conclude with “Halo,” which is fitting — not only is it a great song, it’s one of the few Machine Head tracks on which frontman Robb Flynn, Demmel, and McClain all share songwriting credit.

Fan-filmed footage of that performance is available below. As far as we’re aware, current bassist Jared MacEachern will remain in Machine Head along with Flynn. No replacements have yet been announced for Demmel and McClain.
