Carcass are in the Recording Studio

Carcass have done that thing a lot of bands do now where they coyly post a photo of a drumset all mic’ed up in the studio without any further explanation, as if there would be any doubt. Here it is:

With Carcass now in dedicated recording mode, we can likely expect their new record — the first since their phenomenal 2013 comeback Surgical Steel — to drop around mid-2019. Guitarist Ben Ash left the band earlier this year to be replaced by Tom Draper, but it’s not clear what Draper’s role will be when it comes to writing and recording (presumably Bill Steer does at least the lion’s share of that, if not all).

Something to look forward to in 2019! Get excitebike.
