Listen to Two New Songs by The Raconteurs!

0

How about some ROCK AND ROLL today? Surely, metalhead, you need some fiber in your steady diet of Br00tal-O’s.

The Raconteurs, the rock supergroup led by Jack White, have returned with two brand new songs, “Sunday Driver” and “Now That You’re Gone.” And while I could never get into the White Stripes, I’ve always dug The Raconteurs for their feel-good, fun-time approach to bluesy rock n’ roll. Perhaps it’s the balance the group’s other members — Brendan Benson (solo), Jack Lawrence (of The Greenhornes, Blanche and The Dead Weather), and Patrick Keeler (also of The Greenhornes) — bring to the table, or maybe it’s just Jack White flexing different musical muscles, but whatever it is, it works; I’ve never heard a Raconteurs song I didn’t like, and these new jams (one rockin’, one slow) are no different.

Check ’em out below. The songs were recorded during the sessions for an eventual 2019 full-length album release, but will be included on a reissue of Consolers of the Lonely, the band’s most recent record (2008) before then.
