These are the 21 Best Metal Albums of 2018 According to Pitchfork

0

Since you already know the best metal albums of 2018 according to the staff of MetalSucks — in addition to those chosen by Decibel, Revolver and plenty of other outlets — we know you’re all dying to learn what leading metal publication Pitchfork thinks on the same. Die no more, for Pitchfork has released its top 21 metal albums of the year list!

Pitchfork took a bit of a cop-out approach by not numbering their list, instead opting for the alphabetical treatment. In a way I back that move, because these rankings are ultimately so silly and meaningless, and it seems pointless to pit one album against another instead of just saying “all these albums fucking ruled.” Still… cop-out!

Here are the albums that made the cut. You can read descriptions/justifications over at Pitchfork.
