Amon Amarth Have a New Album Coming in 2019

0

Add Amon Amarth to the list of big metal bands releasing new albums in 2019, as the Swedish viking warriors just announced they’ve wrapped up recording sessions on their 11th (!) studio full-length.

Blabbermouth reports that the band recently wrapped up sessions at Sphere Studios with producer Jay Ruston, who has in the past worked with Anthrax, Stone Sour, Steel Panther and others. Ruston is known as a “songs” guy in addition to being a proud resident of The Tone Zone, so here’s to hoping Amon Amarth’s next album is packed full of some certifiable, fist-in-the-sky bangers the suitable for throwing back a few cold Kuges at the Chug Suckle. The album is the first to feature October Tide drummer Jocke Wallgren following the departure of longtime skinsman Fredrik Andersson.

The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm, this past November via Metal Blade (order here). We also recently hosted frontman Johan Hegg on The MetalSucks Podcast; listen here.
