Jamison Land (Beefcake the Mighty) Has Left GWAR

0

Jamison Land, the latest bass player to take on the character of Beefcake the Mighty, has left Gwar.

Land posted the following on his Facebook page earlier today:

“I’ve parted ways with GWAR. I’m back in KY to spend more time with family and to focus on my driving career. Thank you to all my awesome fans and friends for the past 8 years of support.”

Land’s Facebook page lists his current jobs as a tour bus driver at JGM Coach LLC and a school bus driver at Henrico County Public Schools (screen shot below). He had been holding down the Beefcake role in Gwar since 2011, following Casey Orr, Todd Evans and, most notably, Michael Bishop (who has handled lead vocals since Dave Brockie’s death).

Gwar have yet to issue their own statement on Land’s departure. We wish Jamison all the best in his family and professional endeavors.
