Deafheaven Release Heavy New Black Metal Ripper “Black Brick”

0

No album, no problem: Deafheaven have surprise-released a standalone single called “Black Brick” on the heels of last year’s much-lauded and typically controversial album (always controversial) Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. The track takes the more experimental approach showcased on the band’s recent album and says “to hell with that,” demonstrating that Deafheaven still knows how to play heavy, blast beat-laden black metal, although we’re sure plenty of BM neckbeards will take issue with that classification. Give it a spin below.

Deafheaven are on tour now in Australia and New Zealand. Once they come back stateside they’ll immediately embark on a North American tour with Baroness and Zeal & Ardor, then they’ll join Gojira for a small handful of dates in June (including at the Bonnaroo festival).
