Sworn Enemy Frontman Sal Lococo Shows Off His Favorite Metal T-Shirts

A metalhead’s t-shirt collection contains some of their most prized possessions. Sweaty, stained and torn, our shirts are chronicles of our lives, physical markers of a past time and place that we pridefully put on our bodies every day. They have a clear pecking order: there are those shirts you wear only when all the best ones are in the laundry, there are the absolute favorites you wear once every couple of weeks, and there are all the shirts in between, each with their own clear rank. To a metalhead, T-shirts are EVERYTHING.

Sworn Enemy frontman Sal  Lococo is the latest to share his most prized threads for our series My Metal T-Shirt Collection! The long-running, NYC-based metallic hardcore wrecking crew will drop their latest album, Gamechanger, on April 5. The album was produced by Machine Head’s Robb Flynn and mixed/mastered by Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Fallujah, Warbringer), so you know it’s quality. You can check out the single, “Prepare for Payback,” below. Pre-orders for Gamechanger are here (physical) and here (digital). The band also has a bunch of live dates coming up (many with Sacred Reich), which you can grab at the bottom of this post!

Now here’s Sal to show off his sick threads…

I’m glad I got this shirt when I did, back in 2006. Who would’ve known that Pete wouldn’t be with us much longer after that? This one is a keepsake.

Always loved this band, especially Bonded by Blood, which happens to be a masterpiece of thrash!

Is there really anything that needs to be said about this band? This is all I’ll say about them: if you are into hardcore and don’t know who they are, then there’s no helping you.

I can’t stress enough how this band helped transform music, especially the heavier/metal side of hardcore. Take Sworn Enemy, for instance — you can hear them in a lot of our music.
