Big Business Release Funky New Single Off The Beast You Are

0

Big Business have released “Time and Heat,” another new song off their upcoming album, The Beast You Are (following “Let Them Grind” a couple of months back).

The new track is a fusion of gnarly and funky classic rock, taking some bits of sludge and punk (akin to the band members’ former group, The Melvins) while retaining the band’s core sound. It’s been roughly three years since the band’s latest release and although their newest material keeps their familiar sound intact, it also ventures into new territory with an emphasis on psychedelic elements.

Coady Willis and Jared Warren are once again working as a duo after years of having other band members. Of the return to their roots, they offer:

“It gives us more room to be weirder in certain aspects and try different things. It makes sense because that’s how we established ourselves in the beginning and how we learned to write songs together, it was just the two of us.”

Willis also guested on a recent episode of The MetalSucks Podcast to talk about The Beast You Are, which comes out on April 12 and can be pre-ordered here. Upcoming tour dates are posted underneath the embed.
