Corey Taylor and Alicia Dove are Now Engaged

But what does Corey Taylor think of his girlfriend Alicia Dove? A whole lot, it seems: Taylor got down on one knee, popped the question and made the Cherry Bombs founder and singer his wife-to-be this past weekend.

Taylor proposed in the most romantic way possible: over a jar of salsa. Explained Dove on Twitter:

“After breakfast at home, as I put the salsa back in the fridge I shut the door and he was standing there with a ring. Got down on one knee, and I immediately started crying on the floor with him. In our kitchen. In our sweats, nothing fancy. It was fucking perfect.”

Taylor himself posted a photo of Dove wearing the very large rock on his Instagram, simply stating, “L’adorilust. Forever. And Ever.”

Taylor and Dove have been together for roughly two years. He revealed in a recent interview that the depression brought on by the divorce process from his last wife inspired lyrics on Slipknot’s new album. The warm feelies he’s currently experiencing likely don’t align with his claim that the album is “evil” and “dark and vicious” so we’re unlikely to get a love song this time around, but ya never know.
