Sonata Arctica, a band so beloved by the staff of MetalSucks that we literally never covered their 2016 album The Ninth Hour in any capacity whatsoever, have announced their next release. It’ll be called Talviyö — which is Finnish for “Winter Night” — and it will come out on September 6. The first single, “A Little Less Understanding,” is available for your streaming pleasure below. As usual, Sonata Arctica’s biggest weakness remains their inadvertently-hilarious lyrics. “A Little Less Understanding” is quite as ridiculous as, say, “Cloud Factory,” but it’s still pretty silly (“Yes you will be free/ Once you know what’s good for thee”). A not silly in a cool way, like a Deicide song or whatever. Silly in a silly way.

Sonata Arctica go on tour with Kamelot and Battle Beast starting September 10. Dates are here.
