Maynard James Keenan Reacts to the News That Justin Bieber Is a Tool Fan
Today the world learned that Justin Bieber is a Tool fan, and the band’s singer, Maynard James Keenan, could not be happier about the news:

I both do and do not understand Maynard’s reaction. On the one hand, I find Justin Bieber as stupid and mildly irritating as the next semi-rational adult. On the other hand, there are worse people who can endorse your music. It’s not like you just got praise from Paul Ryan or something, y’know? A lot of people will listen to Tool music for the first time because of Bieber’s endorsement, and statistically speaking, at least one of them is bound to enjoy what they hear, maybe to the point where they start listening to material of a higher quality than that of the Biebs’ on a regular basis. So that’s good news, right? #optimism
