Here’s the Cover Art for the New Cattle Decapitation Album
Update, 12:20 p.m.: Almost immediately after hitting “publish,” I saw this video, which features like 40 seconds of new music. Whoops. At least it sounds promising!
Oh, Cattle Decapitation, you saucy teases, you!
In May, you were all, “We’ll perform a new song… but we’re not releasing a single yet!”
And then, just last week, you were like, “We’re dropping a new album, Death Atlas, on Black Friday… but we’re not releasing a single yet!”
And today you come back, and you go, “Here’s Wes Benscoter’s totally killer cover art for Death Atlas… but we’re not releasing a single yet!”
And you’re also all, “Summer Slaughter starts tomorrow night and you can come to our merch table and buy a special autographed laminate (plus t-shirt) that includes a copy of the CD or digital download of the album when it comes out… but we’re not releasing a single yet!”
But that’s okay. Delay gratification. It will all pay off later.
Anyone who isn’t going to Summer Slaughter or for some reason is going but cannot or does not want to pre-order the album will be able to do so on September 5. I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that’s also when we finally get to hear a single.
That’s just seven weeks away! Not even two months. Should be… ease… easy. Heh.
Summer Slaughter dates are here. Other bands on the bill include The Faceless, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil, and Lorna Shore.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go take a cold shower.
