Tallah Frontman Arrested on First Night of Tour, Currently Missing

0

Tallah’s summer tour is off to a terrible start.

The nu-metalcore band — which includes Mike Portnoy’s son, Max, on drums — kicked off the trek at the Lizard Lounge in Lancaster, PA last night (July 18). Five songs into their set, frontman Justin Bonitz decided to pull a Puciato and hang upside from a ceiling pipe near the stage. When the venue’s head of security tried to pulled Bonitz down, Bonitz made the mistake of kicking the guard, which, naturally, lead to a fight. That fight, in turn, lead to Bonitz’s arrest.

(In Bonitz’s defense, most of the venue’s security staff were wearing yellow shirts, making them readily identifiable; the head of security wore a black shirt. Bonitz may have thought he was just some dude.)

According to a press release, Bonitz is now missing:

“The rest of the band members… were told that Bonitz would be taken to see the judge this morning, but when the band phoned back this morning they were informed that he had been released at 2:30am with no cell phone, no shirt and no money.

“The band have been searching parks, coffee shops and bus shelters across the city in an attempt to find their MIA singer, but have so far failed to locate him.  Fans are urged to contact the band immediately through social media if they happen to see Bonitz.”

The band plans to continue the tour this weekend, “assuming Bonitz is found safely.”

You can watch video of the incident below. Here’s hoping Bonitz is, indeed, found safely.
