Ex-Slipknot Percussionist Chris Fehn Guests on ex-Motörhead Guitarist Phil Campbell’s New Track

0

Just when it seemed like we were done hearing about Slipknot for a while…

… out of the woodwork comes ex-percussionist Chris Fehn, who was ousted from the band earlier this year and is currently involved in a lawsuit with them, to lend his talents to the recording of another artist! Specifically ex-Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell, whose new song “These Old Boots” features not only Fehn but some rock royalty in the form of Dee Snider and Mick Mars.

What are Fehn’s contributions, you ask? As the third-string percussionist in Slipknot, it’s definitely a valid question, and while we don’t know for sure, my money’s on the cowbell that appears in the intro and sporadically throughout the rest of the song. At least he’s keeping busy, I guess.

Phil Campbell’s new album, Old Lions Still Roar, will come out on October 25th. Rob Halford, Alice Cooper, Danko Jones, Nick Oliveri, Joe Satriani, Skindred‘s Benji Webbe and Orange Goblin‘s Ben Ward also guest elsewhere on the album.
