Check Out Toxic Holocaust’s First Single, “Chemical Warlords,” From Their Upcoming Album

0

After six long years of no new Toxic Holocaust, the Portland thrash gods have finally announced a new album, Primal Future: 2019, from which they’ve shared the dystopian first single, “Chemical Warlords.” It delivers everything we’ve come to know and love from the band: classic thrash and speed metal with a high dose of old-school energy. That’s about as close as we can get to the real deal in 2019.

Joel Grind, the primary wizard behind Toxic Holocaust, recorded and produced the album all by himself. Here’s what he had to say about the experience:

“When I started the band in 1999, I never imagined I’d still be doing it in 2019. It’s been a long time coming but the new album is finally ready and it’s sort of a culmination of my past twenty years of doing this band. Most notably, I decided to go back to my roots and record this entire album by myself and play all of the instruments like I did in the early days. It was a lot of fun and nostalgic and at the same time exciting to be able to apply everything I’ve learned over the years.”

Stream “Chemical Warlords” below, and hang tight for Primal Future‘s release on October 4. Preorder from eOne, and check out the dates for Toxic Holocaust’s upcoming tour with Gwar and Sacred Reich under the video.
