Watch Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix Squirm While Being Forced to Endure a Homophobic Parody of “Last Resort”
Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix (f.k.a. Coby Dick, #neverforget) recently appeared on The SDR Show, where he was treated to a NSFW spoof of “Last Resort.” The alleged humor of this parody was meant to stem from expressions of gay panic like “I never realized being gay was a sin/ ‘Til it was too late and the penis was in.” Y’know, the kind of thing which would have seemed both clever if you were eight-years-old and it was still the ’80s.
Although Shaddix didn’t have the good sense to get up and leave, video of his reaction suggests… well, here, watch and see if yourself if that looks like the face of a happy man:
Funny enough, the first person to call the SDR crew on their casual bigotry was MetalSucks’ old pal Jake Shaw (Painless, Defiler). Shaw said everything I would’ve said, so I’m just gonna let you read his back-and-forth with these dummies:
Papa Roach have yet to address this at all, although I suspect they will if fans put enough pressure on them to do so (hint, hint). Maybe there is some context in which this parody would be okay, although I gotta say… I cannot currently imagine what the hell that context would be.
