Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer Will Tour Together on the 2020 “Hella Mega Tour”

0

I know what you’re thinking, and on the surface, you are certainly correct in thinking that a tour boasting Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer doesn’t belong on a metal site.

But if you came of age in the ’90s — meaning you’re in your 30s right now, roughly speaking — there’s a very good chance you grew up listening to at least two of these bands. The other — that would be Fall Out Boy — came later, but won over the heart of many a vintage pop-punk fan with their infectious hooks and not-so-subtle nods to their forefathers.

What I’m saying is that you can pretend you’re tr00 and cvlt all you want, but a large segment of today’s brutaller-than-brutal metal-listening legions still has a soft spot for these bands. Don’t deny it, embrace it!
