Slipknot: Corey Taylor and Clown Want Chris Fehn’s Lawsuit Tossed Out of Court

Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan have filed a motion to have a lawsuit brought against them by the band’s former percussionist, Chris Fehn, dismissed.

According to recent court documents obtained by The Blast

“…Taylor and Crahan claim Fehn’s lawsuit was filed in the wrong court. They claim to have no ties to New York, where Fehn filed the case. They claim none of their contracts were executed in the state nor were any of their albums recorded in NY.”

So they’re basically looking to have the suit tossed on a technicality. Assuming they’re successful, I don’t think Fehn would be prohibited from re-filing with the proper court, but don’t hold me to that. Honestly I can’t even believe that there’s any chance Fehn’s attorneys filed with the wrong court, but who the fuck knows. Goddamn lawyers.

Fehn, lest ye forget, alleges that Taylor, Crahan, and one of Slipknot’s business managers, Rob Shore, conspired to keep more money than they’re owed via various separate LLCs and whatnot. For their parts, Taylor has said he is being “wrongfully accused,” while Shore, who has also sought to have the case dismissed, claims that Fehn was always just a hired employee, not a full partner in the band.
