Man, the Foo Fighters really know how to get a weekend started right. For the fifth (!) time this year, Dave Grohl and company have surprise-released a new EP. They’re all numerically titled; this latest one is called 01070725. Someone smarter than me will have to figure out whether or not the numbers have meaning. But it’s worth noting that every track on the EP — a b-side (“If Ever”), a demo (“Come Alive”), a bonus track (“Seda”), and a pair of covers (Arcade Fire’s “Keep the Car Running” and Dead Kennedys’ “Holiday in Cambodia”) — was recorded in 2007, when the band released Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
