Singularity have been breaking musical boundaries since 2010 with their unique combination of technical death metal and symphonic black metal that should appeal to fans of Dimmu Borgir, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Oldman’s Child. Hailing from Arizona, the band’s high-energy yet harmonic sounds encompass elements that fans of death metal and black metal alike can headbang to. Following their 2016 release, Void Walker, Place of Chains promises to deliver a similar crossover between the two worlds of symphonic black metal and technical death metal. Featuring everything from blast beats to tasty guitar solos to masterfully orchestrated classical pieces, Place of Chains exists as a unique crossover between the worlds of two genres.

Singularity showcase powerful musicality with Place of Chains and they’ve upped the ante by pairing with a strong entourage of high profile musicians. Inferi guitarist Malcolm Pugh adds orchestration throughout, one song was co-written by Equipoise guitarist Nick Padovani, and the album features a guest solo and vocals from Arkaik’s Jared Christianson, as well as vocals from Jeremy Davis of Animus Complex.

Place of Chains is out now via The Artisan Era and can be ordered here! You can stream it in full below.
