Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe is the latest participant in Kerrang!‘s  “10 Songs That Changed My Life” column. And as part of that column, Mr. Blythe revealed which Lamb of God song is most proud to have written. At the risk of sound clickbaity (MetalSucks? Clickbaity? Noooooo, never!), his selection may surprise you: it’s “King Me,” from 2012’s Resolution. Randy explains…

“The song is about waking up and living life on life’s own terms. I recorded that not long after I got sober, and it was a pivotal, transitional time in my life. So it means a lot to me.”

Wow. And all this time I assume the song was about checkers. Huh.

Read the rest of the column here. Lamb of God will tour Europe and the UK with Kreator starting in April. Get dates and tickets here. Chris Adler won’t be there.
