Video: Watch Metallica Perform “Moth Into Flame” in 360 Degrees

0

“Moth Into Flame” is one of the collective fan-favorite tracks from Metallica’s 2016 album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, and 360-degree videos are the collective fan-favorites of, well, pretty much no one. Nevertheless, ya got the good together with the bad: you can now enjoy Metallica performing that song in 360 degree video, filmed at their show in Copenhagen this past July. The single camera is mounted on or near Lars’s drum kit which makes for an interesting vantage point in all directions, so while you don’t get to see Jaymz up close you can watch him behind you on the giant video screen and you do get a fine view of the wall of pyro passing before your eyes over and over. It’s… interesting, I’ll say that.

Metallica are scheduled to tour South America next spring to be followed by five headline slots at massive American festivals next summer; dates and tickets here.
