Quiet Riot Drummer Frankie Banali Recovering Well After Cancer Diagnosis

0

The metal world received a chilling jolt of reality in October when Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali revealed he’d been diagnosed this past spring with stage four pancreatic cancer, one of the most deadly forms of the disease. At the time, Banali reported that he was “on the mend” following months of treatment.

A reassuring new update in the form of a PSA to promote awareness of pancreatic cancer reveals that Banali is now back on the drum throne and plans to tour with Quiet Riot in 2020. The PSA comes in the middle of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and coincides with the release of Quiet Riot’s new album, Hollywood Cowboys, which came out last Friday, November 8. You can check out that PSA, as well as the band’s new song, “The Good, The Band, The Ugly,” below.

On behalf of everyone at MetalSucks, we wish Banali all the best in his continued recovery.
