Guns N’ Roses to Perform at Super Bowl Music Festival

0

Don’t get too excited just yet: the NFL still refuses to book a hard rock or metal act for their vaunted Super Bowl halftime show (Shakira and Jennifer Lopez got the nod this year, much to Dee Snider’s chagrin). But the activities surrounding the 2020 Super Bowl just got a healthy injection of rock, as Guns N’ Roses are slated to play the Super Bowl Music Festival in the days leading up to the big game in Miami, FL.

Guns will perform on January 31 while DJ Khaled and DaBaby split the bill the night before, January 30, and Maroon 5 will play on February 1. The performances will take place at American Airlines Arena, while the game is scheduled for February 2 at Hard Rock Stadium.

The dates marks the first and so far only live show in North America for Guns N’ Roses in 2020, with a handful of dates scheduled in South America for March and April. Tickets go on sale Monday, December 9. Members of Guns N’ Roses’ Nightrain fan club can get tickets tomorrow, December 6. You can keep an eye on tickets right here.

Slash recently said the band is planning to work on writing new music soon.
