A&E’s Biography series is getting ready to tackle the life of one Mr. Ozzy Osbourne via a new documentary entitled Biography: The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne. The trailer includes snippets of interviews with not just Ozzy and his family, but some other notable personalities, including Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, recent Ozzy collaborator Post Malone, and a barefoot Rick Rubin. The doc looks almost painfully po-faced, although I do appreciate how much emphasis it places on Ozzy’s working class background, since that is a truly key, and sometimes overlooked, aspect of the birth of Black Sabbath (and, by extension, metal as a whole).

While we don’t yet know when A&E plans to air The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne, The PRP reports that it’s “expected” to make its debut at South by Southwest in March. Given that Ozzy’s new album, Ordinary Man, comes out February 21, I would imagine the documentary will air not long after — ‘cuz they’re gonna wanna capitalize on that free publicity, right?

Watch the trailer below. Ozzy’s “No More Tours 2” farewell trek resumes in April; get dates and tickets here.
