Sum 41 Cancel Paris Show After Explosive Device Detonated Outside Venue

0

Sum 41 have been forced to cancel Saturday night’s sold out show at Le Etoiles Theatre in Paris after an “explosive device” was detonated outside the venue.

In a since-deleted tweet, the band reassured fans that despite the incident, “Band, crew, the fans in line are all safe, and there were no injuries.” Still, they felt compelled to cancel the gig because they “are unable to guarantee the safety of the fans in attendance.” They also promised that there would be “More information to follow.”

Guitarist Dave Brownsound and drummer Frank Zummo also both posted messages on social media reassuring fans that they were okay, although Brownsound’s has also since been deleted.

We’ll share more information as it becomes available.
