Intronaut Unleash Adventurous New Track, “Pangloss”

0

According to a very scientific study involving the most important person in metal who isn’t Corey Taylor (that would be me), “Pangloss” is one of the standout tracks on Intronaut’s new album, Fluid Existential Inversions, which I’ve been jamming ever since Metal Blade Records sent me the advance promo. Following the album’s debut single, “Cubensis,” this one features one of those big ol’ dumb riffy riffs, akin to the band’s fan-favorite classic, “The Literal Black Cloud.” It isn’t just a throwback, of course; it’s got all manner of new school Intronautisms, with churning, dissonant guitar passages, an eminently hummable chorus and an extensive, proggy, jammed out middle section to break up your headbang sesh. In short: it’s friggin’ fantastic. Stream it below!

Fluid Existential Inversions comes out February 28 via Metal Blade and can be pre-ordered here.
