Watch Marilyn Manson’s Appearance on HBO’s The New Pope
Last spring, we learned that Marilyn Manson would be making a guest appearance on HBO’s The New Pope in an unspecified role; that appearance has now aired, and as it turns out, Manson played himself, paying John Malkovich’s titular character a visit. Sounds funny, right? Well, guess what — it is! I don’t wanna give too much away, but the phrase is “You’re quite the pharmaceutical adventurer” is uttered. I’ve never seen The New Pope (or its predecessor, The Young Pope) before, but if it’s all this witty, I might have to give it a shot.
