On Their New Song, Skunk Anansie Go to “War”

All you dipshits who bitch and moan that Skunk Anansie aren’t heavy enough to be on MetalSucks need to listen to the band’s new single, “This Means War.” The influence of Black Sabbath on this song is as clear as if it were by The Sword or whatever. Only unlike The Sword, it doesn’t sound like an exact copy of Black Sabbath. Largely because Skin’s vocals are tight — her glass shattering scream at the 1:26 mark is killer. Also, the lyrics! “When I see the evil in you, I’m gonna scream/ Like a motherfucker, stone cold dead ’til you bleed”! That is metal as fuck. This is great shit.

Scroll to the bottom of this post to hear “This Means War.” Skunk Anansie have a whole lotta U.K. live dates lined up for later this year, which you can get below (courtesy of Kerrang!). This band BRINGS IT live — do not miss ’em!
