Brutus Post New Song and Video, “Sand,” Cancel U.S. Tour

Brutus’s 2019 album, Nest, is still rattling around my brain a full year after its release. I’m not the only one, either, as the record — which landed atop my best of 2019 list — received quite a lot of critical acclaim and garnered a ton of new fans along the way. It’s a special album for sure.

A B-side from that record, “Sand,” has now made its way online to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Nest. A video for the song highlights Brutus’s captivating live performances and serves as a timely reminder that it’s gonna be really, extra, super-sweet when we can finally all unwind to live music once the coronavirus is dead and gone. Brutus have also taken the song’s release as an opportunity to announce that their May U.S. tour has been axed on account of that dumb virus, but we all saw that coming.
