SiriusXM is Free Through May 15

SiriusXM is wisely… uh… well, I’m hesitant to use the phrase “taking advantage,” but… let’s just say they’re making the best of a bad situation: they’ve made their 300+ channel streaming service free in North America from today through May 15. That’s great news for all of us who are stuck at home and don’t already pay for the service, and it’s great marketing for SiriusXM, who will presumably gain at least some new paying subscribers once the free period concludes.

Those 300+ channels means there’s plenty of metal and hard rock-friendly content available, from Liquid Metal to Ozzy’s Boneyard to Hair Nation to Octane, with notable DJs like Jose Mangin, Eddie Trunk, and Ian Christe (Bazillion Points Books, Sound of the Beast)… and that’s not even getting into the Howard Stern of it all… or the 10,000+ hours of archived shows, performances, interviews and audio documentaries, or even all the stuff that has nothing whatsoever to do with music.

If you’re not already a SiriusXM subscriber, you can take advantage of the offer by either downloading the SiriusXM app or going to this link. You don’t need to give them any credit card info or make any kind of commitment. Really, there’s no downside here.
