Video: James Hetfield Shows Off His Vintage Car Collection

Here’s a fun project for the more mathematically inclined amongst you: much in the same way pundits calculate how much money pro athletes earn per inning, at bat, down, point, goal or whatever it may be, how much do the members of Metallica earn per minute of live performance? The data is out there just waiting to be compiled!

This much is certain: it’s a lot! And one of the things James Hetfield has chosen to spend his dough on is a fine collection of vintage cars. Petersen Automotive Museum, to which Hetfield recently donated several vehicles, has released a mini-documentary showing Hetfield talking about his passion for cars, both in his own decked-out workshop and driving them around the California countryside. It’s a fun look into what really makes James tick, and you can watch it below.
