Alice Cooper Debuts New Song “Don’t Give Up”

Alice Cooper has released a new single, “Don’t Give Up,” and as you may have guessed from the title, it has a timely, kind message behind it. From the press release:

“‘Don’t Give Up’ was produced by Bob Ezrin using remote technology and it’s a spontaneous reaction to the challenges facing us all right now. Alice Cooper felt the need to talk directly to his fans from isolation in his home where he is working to finish his upcoming album. It’s Cooper’s shout-out to keep our heads high, to stay strong, and to fight back together.”

Unfortunately, I don’t think the song itself isn’t very good. The verses are mostly spoken word, and the result is kinda boring. And Nita Strauss doesn’t even get a solo, which seems like a waste.

Still, go ahead and check out the track via the below music video (which features Cooper fans holding up signs with various words from the song on ’em), and feel free to disagree. In fact, I hope you do disagree — I hope the song brightens you mood during these dark, dark times. Sincerely.

Assuming it does and you’d like to own the track, earMUSIC will release a limited 7″ picture disc on August 14. Pre-orders are here.
