Video: GWAR Visit Robert E. Lee Statue to Solicit Signatures for Their Oderus Urungus Petition


On Friday, June 12, GWAR drummer Jizmak Da Gusha visited the Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond, VA, to solicit signatures for the recently-launched petition asking that the Lee monument be replaced with one honoring Oderus Urungus. Virginia governor Ralph Northam has said he plans to order the statue be taken down, although he has yet to comment on the petition, which has more than 37,000 signatures as of this writing.
