Black Crown Initiate’s “Holy Silence”: Incredible

“Holy Silence” is an incredible track from Violent Portraits of Doomed Escape, an incredible album by Black Crown Initiate, an incredible band. The song is like a masterclass in death-prog, like an incredible love child of Gojira and Between the Buried and Me that expertly mixes aggression and melody. It also has an incredible guitar solo — easily one of the illest of its kind I’ve heard this year.

Now “Holy Silence,” has an incredible video, too, thanks to incredible director David Brodsky (Pig Destroyer, Devin Townsend, GWAR, Municipal Waste, Rivers of Nihil, etc.) and incredible illustrations by Chris Bishop. Incredibly, the entire video was produced during the quarantine, yet was not filmed on phones and features no members of the band in their underoos. You’d have to be an incredible putz not to appreciate it.

Treat yourself incredibly well and check out “Holy Silence” below. Violent Portraits of Doomed Escape comes out on August 7 via Century Media, but you pre-order it here right now. Incredible!
