Exclusive Cinemetal Premiere: Rebel Wizard’s “raiseth up all those that be bowed down”
Rejoice, mystical, magickal MetalSucks minions! For today sees the release of Magickal Mystical Indifference (Prosthetic), the third full-length album Rebel Wizard!! The latest offering from the “negative metal” project (really the work of one dude, Australia’s NKSV) is, in a word, AWESOME. As our own Jeff Treppel put it, this “volatile mixture of black metal insanity, NWOBHM riffage, and industrial noise bombardment makes for a thoroughly unique (and thoroughly headbanging) experience.” You MUST check it out.
Which you can do via the video MetalSucks is chuffed to be debuting today, for the track “raiseth up all those that be bowed down”! Created by Exotic Corpse, who has also worked with NKSV’s black metal/noise band Nekrasov, the pink n’ purple-bathed clip features a fire-spewing dragon, a sasquatch, a mountain with a giant skull that shoots lightning from its eyes, outer space shit, and a not-so-subtle suggestion that you might enjoy the visual even more with the aid of some magickal, mystical mushrooms. In other words: everything a metal fan could ever want from a music video!
Says NKSV of “raiseth up all those that be bowed down”:
“We have Exotic Corpse, long time visual collaborator with Nekrasov, working mystical, magickals into the eye voids of the viewing being with this song. The song, in itself, was the first huzzah put together for the album. So you can say that this song is the mystical, magickal pudendum for the album. A first song sets one on the journey and the wizard was very surprised at this seed, working with it into what we now have. The video has these real world, in the astral sense, elements and will literally be the greatest video of our times! Aren’t we lucky!? We can reside in here during the 2020 astral enema! Exotic Corpse has created a piece of visual magick with a magickal mystical feeling the likes no one has ever seen before, or may have seen but that’s gonna be a secret.”
