Way back in 2013, when we were all still allowed to go frolic outside and Donald Trump was just a game show host, we learned that bassists Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation) and John Jarvis (Fulgora, ex-Pig Destroyer) were putting together a metal all-star version of “99 Bottles of Beer,” which would feature members of 99 different prominent extreme music acts. Although I couldn’t tell why it’s taken seven years to complete the project, I can tell you that it’s finally done, it’s being released later this month, and proceeds raised by the track will go to Old Dog Haven, which describes itself as “a small nonprofit group using a large network of foster homes to provide a loving safe home for abandoned senior dogs.”

The music for the track will be provided by the Boozehounz, the “satirical overly drunk punk band” lead by Engemann and Jarvis. The vocals will be provided by this long-ass list of impressive names, which includes members of Slayer, Mastodon, Sepultura, Arch Enemy, Trivium, Dying Fetus, Napalm Death, Exodus, Death Angel, and The Dillinger Escape Plan, to name but a few:
