Album Premiere: Listen to Radiant Knife’s Stunning New Prog Sludge Opus, The Body

We’ve been following the proggy sludge lords in Radiant Knife for some time now, and we’re all too happy to report that the duo are back with a brand new album, The Body, out today! So happy, in fact, that we’re premiering the entire record, as much as such a feature can accurately be called a “premiere” on release day (our fault; we were supposed to do it yesterday, but life n’ shit).

You won’t find a band making this kind of metal any better than Radiant Knife are right now. The Body finds the duo firing on all cylinders, big, burly riffs expertly interwoven with off-kilter time signatures and pounding, churning rhythms that’ll have you bopping along if you can so much as keep up with all the crazy shit going on. Radiant Knife are never assholes about their chops, though; the riffs always serve the song, and the band never let the song get away from them, keeping everything in the appropriate lens.
