Hear Lamb of God’s New Song, “The Death of Us,” from Bill & Ted Face the Music

Lamb of God join Mastodon this morning as high-profile metal bands to unveil brand new songs as part of the soundtrack for Bill & Ted Face the Music, the three-quel in the most excellent metalhead film series, which comes out today (read our official review here)!

The Richmond, VA metallers’ new song is titled “The Death of Us” and musically it fits right in with the vibe of the band’s self-titled album, released back in June. I don’t have a lyric sheet, but I’m picking up serious anti-police / pro-Black Lives Matter vibes from this song on first listen with lines like “No police!” and “Hopeless, helpless dying breath.” Don’t quote me on that, but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised (indeed, I’d be thrilled) if it were the case: Randy Blythe never shies away from sharing his political beliefs.

Give it a spin below. Mastodon also released a new song today from the latest Bill & Ted titled “Rufus Lives,” a tribute to the character played by the late, great George Carlin; jam it here.
