Bring Me the Horizon Post Heavy New Single, “Obey,” Featuring Yungblud

No matter what Bring Me the Horizon do, there will always be a segment of their fanbase for whom nothing will ever be as good as the band’s early metalcore days. And that’s fine. I don’t think the band care at all! They’re doing great, in case you haven’t noticed! And they’ve evolved artistically which, importantly, keeps themselves sane.

Nevertheless, the band’s newest single, “Obey,” might satisfy a portion of those people as it’s significantly more heavy than some of their recent output even if it leans in the hard rock direction. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I find the band’s newer music way more interesting than their older stuff, which at the time I felt was generic metalcore that came way too late. At least this stuff feels like their own.
