The Save Our Stages Fest is THIS WEEKEND!

0

The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) is holding the Save Our Stages Fest this weekend to raise awareness about the dire circumstances venues have been facing due to the pandemic. The three-day event will feature several dozen notable bands performing virtually from their local venues over the course of this weekend, and fan donations will go towards NIVA’s Emergency Relief Fund, which “directly support(s) our most vulnerable venues experiencing catastrophic revenue loss.”

While no capital-M Metal bands are booked for the fest, we highly encourage our readers to check it out anyway, as there are some excellent rock bands and a host of other acts, including Foo Fighters, Rise Against, Portugal. The Man, Leon Bridges, The Roots and a whooooole bunch more. You can view the full schedule right here.

We cannot stress how important this issue is. Music venues were some of the first to close and will be the last to reopen, their employees are out of work with no end in sight, and many of these rooms will go out of business without some form of assistance.

Save Our Stages Fest takes place October 16-18 with live sets streamed from independent music venues across the United States. The festival can be viewed on NIVA’s YouTube channel. A full listing of sets and set times can be found on the Save Our Stages website.
