Listen: Metallica’s “So What?” in the Style of S&M2

0

If you were disappointed that Metallica’s cover of Anti-Nowhere League’s “So What?” didn’t make it onto Metallica’s S&M (1999) or S&M2 (2020), this will please you: YouTuber Valentin The Mad has added an orchestral arrangement to the song. You can check it out below.

Metallica — the second most popular metal band on the internet — recently announced a pay-per-view livestreamed acoustic show to benefit their charitable organization, the All Within My Hands Foundation. Details of that event can be found here.

Metallica have been working on new song ideas remotely during the pandemic, with James HetfieldLars and Kirk Hammett all recently saying they’ve been writing independently with plans to jam together in a “bubble” some time later this year. The band hosted a pre-recorded drive-in concert in August, while a re-worked version of “Nothing Else Matters” is slated to appear in the upcoming Disney film, Jungle Cruise.

As if all that wasn’t enough, Miley Cyrus recently revealed that she’s working on an album that will consist entirely of Metallica covers. We don’t yet know when that will be released.
