Blink 182’s Travis Barker Posts Nifty Electronic Cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, singer and multi-instrumentalist Elise Trouw, Australian drummer Carey Watkins and American Sign Language performer Paul Raci for a fresh interpretation of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”

Anything but a straight cover, Barker and crew have given Metallica’s most iconic song a stripped down electronic treatment, and just like The Hu’s version of “Sad But True” released last week, they’ve breathed new life into the tune and made it enjoyable to these ears for the first time in forever.

The cover appears in Amazon Prime’s new film, Sound Of Metal, which stars Riz Ahmed (The Night Of, Rogue One, Venom) as a metal drummer in a band with his girlfriend, played by Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One, Thoroughbreds).
