Pro-Shot Video: Guns N’ Roses Cover Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun”

Guns N’ Roses have shared another installment of their Not in This Lifetime Selects web series of pro-shot footage from their tour reuniting original members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.

The latest edition spotlights the band’s performance at the Exit 111 Festival in Manchester, TN on October 13th, 2019. It features the following songs (courtesy of The PRP):

  • “Live and Let Die” (Wings cover)
  • “Shadow of Your Love” (03:37)
  • “Black Hole Sun” (Soundgarden cover) (06:26)
  • “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” (Bob Dylan cover) (12:11)
  • “Paradise City” (25:05)

Slash recently revealed that he’s hoping GN’R will release new music in 2021.

Assuming this comes to fruition, it would be the first Guns N’ Roses album in 13 years (since 2008’s Chinese Democracy), the first Guns N’ Roses album to feature Slash and Duff in 28 years (since 1993’s “The Spaghetti Incident?”), and the first Guns N’ Roses album of original material to feature Slash and Duff in 30 years (since 1991’s Use Your Illusion I & II).

Depending on the coronavirus situation, Guns N’ Roses may or may not tour in 2021. Their scheduled dates can be found here.
