Brand of Sacrifice Unveil Groovy New Smasher, “Lifeblood”

0

Brand of Sacrifice, one of very few new(ish) deathcore acts who manage to keep the genre interesting and evolving, have unveiled their latest single, “Lifeblood,” the title track from their forthcoming album.

And, no surprise: it smashes! The groove is slightly more laid back than the album’s first single, “Demon King,” but don’t interpret that as Brand of Sacrifice going soft on us; sometimes dialing down the BPMs a bit can have the effect of delivering an even heavier sound, and that’s certainly the case here. What’s more, the band utilize the in-between spaces left by the widened pace to let the electronic and symphonic elements of their music shine through. What I’m saying is the track is dynamic and multi-faceted, not just a banger (although it’s certainly that, too).

The band offers on the new track, as well as the success of “Demon King:”

“‘Demon King’ was by far the biggest Brand of Sacrifice release yet. The single got on tons of playlists, some play on Sirius XM Liquid Metal, countless reaction videos and more… To say our expectations were surpassed is an understatement and the support is insane! That song has a bounce and groove that’s indicative of some of the catchier moments on ‘Lifeblood,’ which we hone in on in the title track that closes out the album’s 12 tracks. The hook is just on another level, and the build up to the climactic ending somehow feels like the perfect conclusion to the album, yet also the impetus to click replay. We can’t wait to show you what’s in store!”

Check out “Demon King” below. Lifeblood comes out on March 5 via Blood Blast; pre-order here.
