Ozzy Osbourne and Post Malone Get Animated in New Music Video, “It’s a Raid”

Ozzy Osbourne’s 2020 album, Ordinary Man, was notable for many things — being very good, for one, the first time in quite a while that’s happened — including a couple of cameos from rapper Post Malone.

The record’s biggest single, “Take What You Want,” got most of the hype as far as Posty goes, but the album’s closer, “It’s a Raid,” a fast-paced punk metal charger, features a Posty verse, too. And it’s that song which now gets the animated treatment for a new music video.

The video follows our two protagonists in a drug-filled recording studio (literal bowls of cocaine), then flee by car in a high-speed chase through the streets of Los Angeles when the cops show up. It’s loosely based on a true story from 1972 when the po-po showed up to a Black Sabbath recording session after someone mistakenly tripped the security alarm.

Ozzy has reportedly been in the studio of late working on a new album with Ordinary Man producer Andrew Watt.

The European leg of his “No More Tours 2” farewell trek, which will also feature Judas Priest, is scheduled to resume in 2022. Get dates here.

Ozzy’s wife and manager, Sharon, contracted Covid-19 in December and isolated from her husband for several weeks. As of early January she was given the all-clear to return home, but continued suffering from long-term symptoms of the disease.

The Prince of Darkness recently revealed he still hasn’t received the Covid-19 vaccine despite waiting patiently, saying, “I look at it like this: if I don’t get the shot and I get the virus, there’s a good chance I ain’t going to be here.”
